If you are looking for a social and enjoyable way to brighten a child’s day, you are invited to join us. At chapter meetings, we admire dropped off blankets and make sure they are safe before the blanket is given to a child. We double check that there are no pins, loose threads / yarn / embellishments, etc. After inspecting the blankets, special Project Linus labels are sewn on each one. Blankets are then sorted and packaged for distribution.
If we finish packaging blankets early, we work on our own knit and crochet projects and share techniques / patterns.
Newcomers and snowbirds welcome. There is no need to commit to regularly attending or providing contributions (blankets or financial).
We meet the first Monday of each month from 9:30 AM – ~ 11:00 AM.

Our annual meeting takes place in January at Cypress Lake Presbyterian Church. Representatives from agencies that receive Project Linus, Ft. Myers blankets will be in attendance to discuss the work they do. There is never a dry eye in the house as we hear first hand about the work each organization does and what the blankets mean to recipients.
The date for our 2017 annual meeting will be Saturday, January 28, 2017. Start time is 9 AM. Meeting will be in the Fellowship Hall which is the last building on the right.
We are thankful to Cypress Lake Presbyterian Church for providing space to meet and work. If it is your first time joining us, follow the Project Linus signs to the classrooms on the Cypress Lake side of the church.
